19 of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hard courts
A comeback Daniil Medvedev won his maiden trophy for 882 days with victory over opponent Moutet in the competition championship match.
The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging year, managing just a single victory at the Grand Slams and undergoing a meltdown at the US Open.
Medvedev's varied form on the ATP Tour - and issues with his service game in especial - led to him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally separating with former coach Cervara.
Presently working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily advanced in the last few weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over opponent Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's first trophy after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt from that period of 2023.
Success also indicates Medvedev has secured twenty-one championships at 21 different events.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a competition with my both daughters together, so to win a championship is especially meaningful," stated ranked player Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my child her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six finals, comprising in Halle in the past months.
The player's counter-punching play style and frequent emotional displays on the tennis court had prompted some to question if his capacity to compete at the top level was finished.
Yet the player has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to advance forward and play positively, reinforced by an improved serving game.
The champion fought back from a disadvantage in the first set against the tricky opponent, winning 4 of the last five games to take the lead.
The competitors traded service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, striving for his initial tour championship, took control to push for a decider.
The opponent defended four early-game opportunities in a tight third set before the champion secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, he earned the win with a point at the net area, with Moutet unable to control a shot after a lengthy match.
